Brayden's Bar Mitzvah was one for the books...
We started our Thursday morning bright and early at the Hebrew Educational Alliance in Denver, CO.
Pam and Josh booked photos with me in July 2022 for Brayden's big day and they weren't sure if they wanted to document the morning minyan. All I could keep thinking was how special it would be if we got photos of Brayden wrapping tefillin for the first time. Boy am I glad I convinced them to do it, because these photos turned out so special and I hope Brayden cherishes them forever.
Brayden was joined by all of his grand parents for services and his Zaidy helped him wrap his tefillin.
After Services on Thursday, we had the opportunity to take portraits and rehearsal photos in the sanctuary...
I don't know if there's anything better than an open arc full of majestic Torah's. I truly felt honored to document Brayden's rehearsal and photograph him and his family in the sanctuary.
Watching Brayden practice his Torah reading and his Haf Torah was so inspiring, he was so confident up there and had such wisdom to share! His Mitzvah project included collecting new and gently used sports equipment to donate to A Precious Child's giveSPORTS program. This program provides kids whose families cannot afford sports the opportunity to try them out.
And then, after all the hard stuff was over, we did what we do best...
Brayden had the most awesome party at the Embassy Suites in Denver, CO. The room was decked out in sports paraphernalia, everyone wore their best sports jerseys, and ate the most delicious stadium food (Josh taught me how to make a "walking taco" which includes dumping chili into a Fritos bag and shaking it up). The DJ played the best tunes, and they all danced the night away.
